CASA Back to School Backpack Donation

Cervantes Scherr Legate knows the value of the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate Association) organization, its volunteers and what they do for children who are abused and neglected. We want to help children going through the family court system be successful in their educational endeavors by providing backpacks and school supplies.

Celebration of Lights

Most of Scherr Legate attorneys are from El Paso. Throughout our lives, as children and into adulthood, the lighting of the tree and lights at San Jacinto Plaza downtown continues to be an essential part of our holidays. Sponsoring the parade allows us to inject more life into downtown El Paso and provide the opportunity for area families to create their own special holiday moments.

El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation Milagro Gala

Cervantes Scherr Legate loves kids! And El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation has a special place in the heart of our law firm. We were honored to serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the Foundation’s Milagro Gala where twin brothers Shaquem and Shaquill Griffin, shared their inspiring journey to the NFL. At Cervantes Scherr Legate we believe that every child deserves a place of hope and healing, and we are thankful for all that El Paso Children’s Hospital brings to families in our area.

Women’s March of El Paso

Cervantes Scherr Legate believe in equality for all and the many contributions that women make in our society. We proudly march alongside the women in our community as sponsors of the El Paso Women’s March.

Hart Elementary Sock Drive Donation

Scherr Legate was delighted to support the students of Hart Elementary with a donation towards their annual sock drive. A simple gesture not only keeps feet warm during the cold winter months but also warms the heart as young El Pasoans help their fellow neighbors.

Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home

Cervantes Scherr Legate recognizes there is no substitute for stability in a child’s life. Children should have basic needs and support! Our firm provided uniform clothing, shoes, undergarments, diapers, formula, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and dry goods to help support the year-round work of the Moor Home and the love they provide for the children residing in their home.

National Nurse’s Week

Newman Elementary Holiday Gift Distribution

Scherr Legate enjoyed partnering with Newman Elementary to provide students a gift to open and enjoy over their holiday break. The holidays can bring many happy memories for children as they grow up.

Segundo Barrio Back to School Drive

Scherr Legate answered the children’s plea for help by delivering donations to benefit the Fifth Annual Segundo Barrio Backpack and School Supply Drive at Sacred Heart Church. The donation including over 50 back packs full of school supplies such as paper, folders, pens, markers, notebooks, glue sticks, rulers and scissors.

University Medical Center
Scherr Legate Trauma Center

Scherr Legate, donated $1Million to University Medical Center, in 2014, to be used towards purchasing medical equipment and surgical instrumentation. The UMC Scherr Legate Trauma Center is the only Level I Trauma Center within a 280-mile radius. As witnessed through many of its clients who have suffered personal injuries, Scherr Legate understands the dire need of having the right medical attention available.

Villa Maria

Cervantes Scherr Legate supports the work of Villa Maria, a transitional living center for women, who provides basic needs, housing, professional and educational support, financial management classes and spiritual guidance. The 22 women who reside at Villa Maria are provided a strong foundation as they work their way towards financial independence and stability.
